As glamorous as it gets-Madonna.

Hey. This is my Madonna dress.
I twirl my skirts.

Before I cut my hair I could do this little twisty with my hair and I loved it. I haven't tried it since I cut it after this picture was taken. It made my hair feel a little bit cuter. I also tried putting my hair up on the crown (?) of my head. Yeah, I have no idea about head and hair vocabulary. But anyway, I used to do this little poof thing in high school all the time. I don't know what happened, but this Sunday I decided to do it again. And I liked it. Even though I feel like a boy when I wear my hair up. It's just one of those weird personal things that no one else says is true. You know what I mean?!

Simplicity

Here am I! In a tried and true reliable outfit. It is me in a nutshell. Simple, kinda girly, with some color. Ya. And that is how I like it. I think the whole purpose of this blog is to help me be more comfortable with myself and to prove to myself that I am comfortable!I feel reassured by this scripture- Alma 1:27 "...and they did not wear costly apparel, yet they were neat and comely." It tells me that church and every day clothes don't need to be fancy and frilly and showy. They can be simple- and you can still look good and feel comfortable.

On one side of the apartment we have this lovely yellow hill with the view of the rich people's houses on top.
On the other side we have a nice view of the north end of the valley...and the scary dropoff, which you can't really see in this picture. I really love how 'natural' it looks over here, especially since we are near the busy city.

I'll have four more outfit posts in the near future, but sorry, they're from July and August. :)

Life happens. And some of it is good.

Hey there. Wow. I don't even know how time can pass so fast. It feels like I was just here, boppin along with this blog, almost getting somewhere. You know? Well, life does that to you. You think you've got a handle on things and then  BAM KAPOW !!!!!!!!! haha. Yeah, I said kapow. So, I think the last time I did a successful outfit post was in... July... Can't remember. Anyway, on the 8th of August I was married. Hence, the disappearance. It has been crazy. Here are some photos of what has been going on in the past couple of months. Does this count as an outfit post? ;)

Engagement with my silly dude who really hates getting his picture taken.

Black shirt-Target, Jeans-Charlotte Russe. I highly, highly, greatly recommend pants from Charlotte Russe. They are my favorite. Move over American Eagle!!

Another engagement with my dude in the grass that hurts and itches when it pokes you in the butt...

At our reception. We had it the day before the wedding. I thought it should be important to emphasize the temple. Plus it is WAY less stressful.

Dress- The Perfect Dress

This is on our honeymoon. We went to New York. We went to a Yankees game. It was fun. :)

Me at The Met (or is it the AMNH?). If you go to New York, go to this museum! It is so awesome. Even if you hate museums....cough....

Shirt-Kohls, Pants- American Eagle, Sandals-DSW, but not that you can really see my sandals, huh?

Well, there you have it. The most condensed version of my life in 5 pictures. If you really want to know more, just post a comment or send me an email at Daffodilcats at gmail.com. I would love to hear from you! Especially if you are getting married or engaged or you have questions about marriage or what a marriage/marriage ceremony is like in my church. Or you can go here.

okay love you bye!

sorry!

Hey, sorry for the disappearance... I got married. Weird. haha... And school has started. And I'm working... but don't worry! As soon as I get used to life and let it sink in I will be back to blogging. with pictures and stuff. yeah...

So I got married in the Jordan River Temple about two weeks ago! So crazy. We went on our honeymoon to New York. It was so fun. We stayed in Manhattan. We were about three blocks away from Times Square, to give you an idea of where we were. A very, very vague idea. New York is SO HUGE. This was the second time for me to visit and the hugeness of New York still overwhelmed me.

We moved close to downtown Salt Lake. Let me just say, for me, it has been so hard living away from home. I miss my mommy. I miss my kitties and my old bed that sometimes felt like cement... I miss the area and the sites and sounds I was used to. So, to battle my homesickness and all the new changes I am using FAITH. I'm also going to the temple. The key to the temple is going over and over again...Being in the temple is unlike any other place on the earth. Prayer is also an important tool to use.

Well, that is all for now! See ya soon...
